What do I want to be in the future?

At first when we had first gotten this blog assignment I knew exactly what I wanted to be I wanted to be an Electrical engineer and I was hell bent on going to Arizona State University. Now though I am not completely sure what I want to be anymore. I know that I have chosen a school where I fit in at and where I am going to want to spend my next few years in school and it is not ASU, I have chosen Radford University in Virginia. I chose this school because it was where I most felt at home and now that I have made that choice my Major choice isn't exactly sure anymore. I am still 60% sure that I want to pursue a major in Electrical Engineering, but the other 40% of me isn't completely sure what exactly I wan to do anymore, but what I do know for sure is that I will be going to Radford U and I will come out with a major.

My Years at CM

My four years at Catholic Memorial have been an experience that I would probably never forget. I'm not completely sure what exactly it is about CM that will leave an impression on me. Maybe its the teachers (I highly doubt that), maybe its the people of maybe its the opportunities that they have opened up for me. I have gotten into a variety of schools that I though I  would never be able to get into such as University of Colorado, Arizona State University, Radford University. And the multiple different things that I have gotten into would be the breast cancer walk and the blood drive at school this school is definitely going to stay with me forever.

V for Vendetta

This movie was a very well thought out movie if you didn't mind the ye old banter of the main character and stupid moves made by the other people in the movie. My main over all view of this movie was that it was a great movie and there wasn't much more that I would change about the movie. It had a great plot in which they used the old story of Guy Fawkes where he tried to blow up one of the main building in England, but didn't really have success and was caught and hung for his attempts. The movie used this act that he had committed and more twisted it into a man who was trying to overthrow an over bearing government by bringing the people something to believe in and he brought them the character a vigilante in a mask not just any mask though a Guy Fawkes mask. 

Senior Service

Yesterday for senior service we didn't really do anything. Since it was the week after the Mcas the majority of the teachers were still getting some of the work done. So we basically just subbed in for the teachers and just took over their duties for like an hour or so then the teachers came back and then we had to leave because of the memorial that they are having for the firefighters in West Roxbury so they dismissed us early. Nothing at my site has really changed since the beginning except it is starting to become more of a waste of time to be honest because I'm not really learning anything from the first day we were there.

The Good The Bad and The Ugly

This movie in our opinion was one of the worst movies I have ever watched in my life. If we were to look at the movie from the year it was made then maybe I would consider the movie being moderately ok but since we decided to watch it in 2014 it sucked. A.I. is a movie that showed what they thought technology was going to be like in the last 21st. But I believed it was very dramatized, they made it seem as if we were already making leaps and bounds on the technological front maybe making them seem as if they could make movements. Another thing about the movie it was way to long the movie was like 2 and a half hours long. for a movie that was way to long it is what it is stretched out. The only good part about this movie I would have to say were the graphics and maybe just maybe the graphics.  

A.I

Artificial intelligence is life out side of common flesh and blood it is life in robotics. An example of this would be something like the Terminator or if you want a less threatening version on a lower scale threatening version, I robot A.I's can be used for other things such as in the field of human health. you always see in the movies that they use them for helping them heal or for basically more enhancements such as health or strength like in Captain America or Cyborgs things of that nature hopefully in the future they would be able to make it more compatible to the worlds needs for health reasons and saving peoples lives on the battlefield. Hopefully they will also avoid being used for weapons and other violent things

March Madness

Its that time again, it's spring time to bring out your favorite basketball team to see who will win it all. Its time to get your brackets together either pick your favorite teams to see who is going to win or choose your bracket based on straight statistics look up which teams are controlling their conference. You have 68 teams to go and pick from who will you have winning it all UConn, Florida, maybe Villanova? its 50 percent skill and 50 percent will power lets see how they all go about this tournament

Service Day 1

The first day of service went just as expected. I showed up to my site at 10 o'clock along with 5 other Cm students for our fist day at the Lyndon Pilot school. We all got separated into different age groups such as I spent my day with 1st graders and 3rd graders. My 1st grade class that I spent the first half of the day with was a class full of SL students. The SL class is a class of students who have Spanish as their first language at home and are learning English as their second language. The majority of their class was spent with them learning basic phonetic tones and simple words. After Lunch we spent the second half of the day with my older students who are the third graders and we basically just corrected their test and helped them with their selection of books in the library.

Senior Service

Senior service is a very important task that all seniors must go through to graduate into college. Every senior must pick a site whether it be a school, nursing home, or a hospital they must choose one. Me for my community service hours have chosen to go and do my service hours at the Lyndon middle school in West Roxbury. I chose to do my hours here because I want to give back to kids who are having trouble in the classroom since that was me back when I was in middle school. The whole purpose of this is to gain some type of learning experience from it and take that with us into the future I'm not exactly sure what I am going to gain from it but I do know why I am going there to help out at the school.

Sochi is gone

The games are over and there are no more crazy events to look forward too. The Olympics closed down yesterday February 23 the total score for metal count left our home faithful's the United States came in second with the overall medal count with host country Russia coming in first overall. Winning in an impressive turn of events in the speed skating relay and in the ice skating events. But lets not forget about Massachusetts own home town hero winning In the super G alpine.

R.I.P Flappy Bird

Flappy bird has been taken off of the app store WHAT!?!? The creator of flappy bird has decided to make an executive decision and decided to pull it off of the store. Rumor is that the creator had to pull it off of the store do to a copyright infringement on Nintendo. Nintendo supposedly made the creator of Flappy Birds take his game down because of the common thing that they have which would be the Mario style pipes that their popular game "Super Mario". This would make perfect sense since they did not require him to take down any of the other games he created

SuperBowl of Upset

Number 1 rated offense of the Denver Broncos faced off against the number one rated defense of the Seattle Seahawks. but the rolls during this game seemed to be very much so blurred. The number one offense seemed to have taking a day off because they performed terribly. On the other hand the Seahawks came to play they came out playing like they were the number one team in the league over all. Quarterback Russel Wilson lead his team to a 43-8 victory over one of the NFLs greatest quarterbacks Peyton Manning even though the broncos almost got shut out Peyton still had a good game completing 36/49 passing attempts they just as a team failed to gain their footing.

Google Sketch Up

Google sketch up is a more hands on 3D modeling interface. It can be used for a lot of little projects such as making scale models of houses or just playing around. This can be very complicated for beginners but after maybe a couple days of playing around with the software it becomes easier for the users to start getting the hang of it. This software can be very beneficial to people who are trying to major in Architecture and all types of engineering.  

Firefox OS

Firefox OS is an operating system some what like the IOS for the Iphone. The IOS is more superior to the Firefox OS made by Mozilla, and to the more tech friendly crowd this is just not up to the job. Compared to the Android and IOS the firefox is to simple and not able to live up to the demands required of it due to the influences of the other two major competitors. Since it is a relatively  new system it runs just as it should. It runs sluggish and not very responsive. Personally the system isn't as bad as anyone makes it seem it is just vey new if you compare it to how the first few versions of IOS was you would see that it is actually a lot better then it may seem. I say if you give it a couple of years I believe that it would be just as good or maybe better than what the two competitors might be at, at that time.
